I take this opportunity to thank all children/young people who attended our four/one week summer and winter camps 2023 in various locations across London. It was a joy to see happy faces throughout the programme and hope you all had a good time, made new friends, learned a new or perfected existing skill.
What was new in 2023,
St Johns ambulance, partnered with us and delivered the young responders street violence first aid to young people.
Barclays bank, supported us with resources to deliver Life-skills to young people within the community.
Bubbles & Smiles, delivered food and nutrition education, focusing the voluntary adaptation of healthy eating and life styles changes contributing to improved physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Capital City College group,
In conjunction with the mayor of London fund, Bubbles & Smiles delivered “multiply course” to parents and young people who don’t have GCSE qualification in maths, a programme aimed at widening career prospects as well as aiding parents with skills in regards to cost of living basic maths.
The Warburtons bakeries ltd, is our new food donor. we are in receipt of bread, bagels, buns and fruit loaves donations, this has increased the number of families we support from 120 to 160 as well as improved the variety of healthy lunches and snacks that we provide to children/young people in our of schools/holiday camps.
The Felix food project and North Enfield food bank has increased their weekly food donations to our weekly food bank stocks which we are very thankful.
Our “Grow your own food pilot project” was a success, it was made possible by our partner Enfield independence and wellbeing. We are all very excited about this new project and we are inviting young people and volunteers to join our team to develop skills and basic knowledge in growing own food, as well as helping other families to learn how to grow their own food in back yard gardens, balconies, landings and in our local allotments in ponders end.
Whats-on in 2024,
Our Easter/Spring children /young peoples’ camp 2024 booking is now open. Remember the saying? ” Early bird Catches the worm,” Please don’t miss out, book now to avoid disappointment, only a few spaces left. This is a 4 day jam packed sports, games and enrichment event for children/ young people to learn, to play and have fun.
The Easter/spring camp runs from the 2nd – 5th April 2024, in both Hackney and Enfield boroughs, please scroll down and make your reservation by selecting the location and borough your child attends school.
Please note: That for Enfield bookings children on free school meals need a booking voucher emailed to them by their school originating from Holiday activities, alternatively email hello@holidayactivities.com and request for your vouchers.
Children not in receipt of free school meals there a fee to pay of £12.50 per day.
